Tell your family about the photoshoot you have coming up, and get them excited.
The shoot is going to be a lot of fun, so let's frame the experience to a positive exciting light.
Feeling cheerful goes a long way in a photoshoot.
You can bring snacks! Easy & clean to eat. Stay away from ice creams, chocolates. Bring props that you love like bicycles, dolls, or even a blanket.
Think of colours that you love and will be comfortable for you and your kids. A complimentary outfit is a great idea. Please stay away from big logos and brand names that will show up on the photos. Plan your wardrobe before the day of your shoot, and make sure the necessary items are dry cleaned/ironed.
I always welcome a variety of outfits and backup outfits. Layers are also a great idea. If you're stumped about what to wear, let me know. I'm happy to strategize! Schedule time earlier in the day before the shoot to get everyone dressed and ready. If you are getting your hair or makeup done, leave ample time to do this.
Is there an activity you like to do together?
Blowing bubbles, kicking a soccer ball, flying a kite, playing patty cake, these will make nice photos. These are not required but will be fun just doing outdoors with the kids. Mom's love this to get the kids active that will result to sleep and get some peace and quiet after.
